ABOUT SECRETS TV SERIES

A thriller set in south-west France, suitable for an Anglo-French co-production. Three British tourists – Jamie, a  photographer, his wife Belinda and their friend Helen drive  down to the Aude, where they have rented a gite. Shortly after their arrival, the two women vanish. Jamie waits, thinking they have gone shopping, but they don’t reappear. Eventually, he calls the police – and Jean-Pierre, a local Inspector, arrives: could the two women be having a ‘relationship’? No, Jamie tells him: the idea is preposterous.

His teenage daughter Melissa arrives, and they try to solve the puzzle together. A Frenchwoman calls and tell them to go home, but they refuse.

The ‘Secrets’ lie buried in the past, but the reason for the two women’s disappearance is very much of today. Jamie learns that even after twenty years of marriage he doesn’t know his wife as well as he thought he did. It’s a tense, slow-burning story, with the denouement taking place on top of one of the region’s highest mountains.
