A one-man play about the life and poetry of A.E. Housman. A funny, moving story, told by Housman himself, about his relationship with the two brothers who were the loves of his life – a love that ‘dared not speak its name’ at the time, and whose loss inspired him to start writing poetry.

It’s also about the brilliant classical scholar behind the poetry, whose laziness and arrogance prevented him from even gaining a Pass Degree at Oxford, and about his escape from genteel poverty  to worldwide renown both as a poet and as Regius Professor of Latin and Greek at Cambridge.
